- the sort of journeys you intend to do on your bike. Do you want to cycle to work, for leisure, or simply for fun? Once you have a clear idea, you can ask at a local bike shop and they will help you choose a bike that best suits your needs and budget
- how long will your journeys take compared to your normal mode of transport. 10 miles an hour is a comfortable average cycling speed on level roads
- are there any obstacles to you cycling? If you are not confident of which roads to use, or unsure of of how you'll feel on the roads then GoCycle can help you
